Fiber optic planning involves many steps. This is the case because it is important to determine the type of communication system that the network will be tasked with. When the designer has an in-depth knowledge with the components of the fiber optic network, they will be able to put state everything in layman’s terms. Explaining the design ideas for the fiber optic planning phase while using technical terms that people who the installer have been tasked to work with don’t understand is not the correct approach.

Planning For Installation

When all of the designs for the fiber optic planning is finished, it is not the time for the project manager to be as involved as possible. They should be well informed of the designs and how it led to the final draft that everyone is looking at. In order for this to be the case, the project manager has to be well aware of any physical limitations with the site and the advantages that can be presented when using specific areas for installing the fiber optic network.

Everyone involved with the project should be able to contact the project manager 24/7. Not everyone will be on site at the same time. Even if that was the case, not everyone will see eye to eye on certain aspects of the project. It is ultimately up to the project manager to make the final decision based on hard information regarding fiber optics.
